🚗 Tesla’s Model Y Launched In India

After years of negotiation, struggle, and anticipation, Tesla has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its flagship Model Y Electric SUV. The grand unveiling took place on July 15, 2025, at the brand-new Tesla Experience Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, marking a pivotal moment in India’s electric mobility sector.

  • Range: Up to 574 km on a single charge

  • Price: Starts at ₹59.89 lakh, going up to ₹67.89 lakh for the AWD version

Despite the steep pricing—largely due to 70% import duties—Tesla aims to position itself in India’s luxury EV segment, competing with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo. Domestic Electric car makers like Mahindra and Tata will also face some competition .
